Emma Long Metropolitan Park

Emma Long Metropolitan Park, or “City Park,” is located about 6 miles off of 2222 on City Park Road.  The park lies on the shores of Lake Austin and consists of 1150 acres of mostly undeveloped land. The motocross-mountain bike course resides about a mile inland from the shores of the lake (zoom out on map below). The history of Emma Long Metropolitan Park goes back to the 1930s. We are extremely fortunate to be able to utilize this venue for the Dirt Remedy Mountain Bike Series.

The Emma Long Motocross course is notoriously difficult. It was originally created for motocross bikes, but, with the advances in mountain bike technology over the last 20 years, more and more mountain bikers have taken to it. The entire 6 mile course features many rhythm-breaking sections of loose rock, stair-steppers and drop-offs. It is a challenging course that develops your technical skills while building character and confidence. Do worry if you need to dismount. We do too sometimes.

Emma Long Motocross Course: Our continued use of the facility depends on our collective ability to leave the park as we found it, preferably better.
